This new release from StrangeCloud is
a real treat for anyone who loves classic folk/rock and pop sounds. If only
there were a few more tunes. I can't wait for the full CD.
The songs on "Citrus" are uplifting songs that pay homage to everything
from the Byrds to the Beatles, not to mention the Monkees, The Mamas and
the Papas, Poco, a little Dylan and then a whole lot of mid sixties psychedelia.
Nonetheless, this is not retro music. It is vibrant and current. Just the
convergence of all of these influences makes it unique.
The production is flawless, while maintaining a loose feel. The layered
guitars and percussion and keys fit just right.
Not much else I can say, except gimme more.
